system not responding

i put windows 98's system monitor on the windows startup menu. apparently, it gives a warning when the system runs at less than 10% resources preventing it from not responding. it's just now that i realized that the testtype runs with 25 - 50 % resources at my usual usage.

i've been playing mechcommander 2 for the past two days. at regular difficulty, i'm surprised to have 4 veterans in about 10 missions. well, gameplay is better the second time around...and with tips from a strategy guide. but all i took seriously are tips on pilot skills. it's got the rpg feel that i've come to appreciate lately.

now here's what sucks. here are a few games i've played here:

* nfs porsche unleashed (2000)
* mechwarrior 4: veangence (2000)
* mechcommander 2 (2001)

a common thing about these games is that the pc hangs during gameplay even in this upgraded state. to think that this pc is supposed to be from that time.

on music, i think the band's participation (or audition even) in the muziklaban rock challenge won't happen this year. i've quite done the music for my song with my little guitar since i can't do one using a bass with no amp nor my currently bare classical guitar, B. (i haven't named my bass. then again, it's only B that has a name.) i attempted to make it sound punky but i ended up with an alternative sound. not bad. i'm even starting to get an ear, noticing how punk rock sounds.

i won't be going to baguio with sheila, patrick, lica, and the rest. no sense in crying or attempting to secure permission. today's radio mass homily even gave me reasons not to feel bad about it. it was something about love and obedience to parents. the missed opportunity to be with friends and my special someone must have a good side to it. i got some in my mind now.
